At Snom, product security is an integral part of the product lifecycle. We are committed to providing security updates for supported products throughout their published Security Support Period.

This page provides information about lifecycle status, security support commitments, and End of Security Support dates for Snom products.

Customers are encouraged to regularly review lifecycle status information and maintain products on supported firmware versions.

Security Support Commitment

Snom provides security updates for supported products throughout their published Security Support Period.


During this period, Snom may provide:

  • Security patches
  • Vulnerability remediations
  • Security-related firmware updates
  • Security advisories and mitigation guidance
  • Updates addressing vulnerabilities in third-party software components where applicable

Security support periods are communicated through this Product Security Lifecycle page and related product notices.


Lifecycle Status Definitions


Active
Products in Active status:

  • Are available for sale.
  • Receive security updates.
  • May receive maintenance and feature updates.


End of Sale (EoS)

End of Sale is the date after which a product is no longer available for shipment.

Products that have reached End of Sale:

  • May remain deployed and fully supported.
  • Continue to receive security updates.
  • Continue to receive vulnerability assessments and remediation during the Security Support Period.

Snom publishes an End of Sale announcement before products enter this phase.
 

End of Security Support (EoSS)

End of Security Support is the final date on which Snom intends to provide security updates for a product.


For Snom products:

The End of Security Support date is generally two (2) years after the product's last shipment date.


After the End of Security Support date:

  • Security updates are no longer guaranteed.
  • Newly discovered vulnerabilities may not be remediated.
  • Security advisories may no longer be published for the affected product.

Customers should plan migration to currently supported products before this date.

  • Product Introduction
  • Active Sale Period
  • End of Sale (Last Shipment Date)
  • Security Support Period
  • End of Security Support

Product Lifecycle Overview

Security Updates

During the Security Support Period, Snom evaluates reported vulnerabilities and provides remediation measures where appropriate and technically feasible.

Security updates may address:

  • Product vulnerabilities
  • Authentication issues
  • Encryption weaknesses
  • Software defects affecting security
  • Vulnerabilities in third-party software components

Customers should install available security updates as soon as practical.

Security Advisories

Security Advisories provide information about confirmed vulnerabilities, affected products, severity assessments, available updates, and mitigation measures.

Customers should regularly review published advisories to determine whether action is required.
