CeBIT 2015: Snom shows IP DECT solutions for in-building mobility

Berlin-based Snom Technology AG, the first and leading manufacturer of professional VoIP telephones for businesses, is showing the next generation of its VoIP-based telephone series at the CeBIT 2015 (Hall 13, Stand C42). Under the motto “German-engineered. First in VoIP”, Snom is presenting several new IP DECT models, which not only meet high security standards but are also highly interoperable and user-friendly. A highlight at the trade show is the new M325 bundle, consisting of the M300 base station and M25 handset. With this solution, Snom is offering customers a quick way to get started with digital and cordless VoIP telephony. The single-cell DECT solution supports up to 20 mobile devices. In addition, the M25, which is also available separately, can also be used in an evolutionary multi-cell configuration with the M700. Thanks to seamless handover, it is possible to change locations from one cell to another while a call is in progress without causing any interruptions, thereby providing optimal in-building mobility. With its DECT handsets, M65 and M25, Snom is presenting two cordless broadband HD audio devices that combine high speech quality and mobility. The robust premium model M85, which Snom will debut at the CeBIT 2015, rounds off the series. The M85 complies with the protection class IP65, making it insensitive to dust, water and extreme temperatures.

“As the leading manufacturer of professional VoIP telephones for businesses, we are meeting both office environment and industrial environment requirements with our M-Series”, says Nadahl Shocair, CEO of Snom Technology AG.

All new mobile units of the M-Series can be used at both Snom DECT base stations in single-cell and multi-cell mode. Using up to three coupleable Snom M5 repeaters, the basis station enables full range coverage even where no ethernet connection is available. The M-Series DECT devices support provisioning and Firmware Over-the-Air meaning updates are easy.

The robust M85 handset will be on view for the first time at this year’s CeBIT. By presenting the premium model designed for demanding conditions, Snom is completing its high-performance IP DECT telephone M-Series. The M85 complies with the IP 65 protection class and has an extended temperature range. It is therefore especially suited for use in industrial environments and shop floors. Like the M25 and M65, the M85 also has a flat user interface design. M85’s high-performance battery and CAT iq broadband audio provide up to 12 hours of high speech quality calling time. An integrated hand-free feature and Bluetooth headset compatibility also ensure highest possible mobile comfort in and between conference rooms.
