snom technology launches Hardware-based IP PBX Solution – snom ONE plus for Small and Medium Size Business Market

Plug-and-play appliance version of the snom ONE IP PBX solution offers VARs and end users an affordable, full featured IP PBX in a rack-mounted package

London, UK, 1 March 2011 - snom technology, a leading developer of IP phones and IP communications solutions for the enterprise and small business market, announced today the release of snom ONE plus, a new hardware-based version of the company’s award winning snom ONE IP PBX. The combination of snom’s leading business-class IP phones and the snom ONE plus provides a full-featured business-class IP telephony solution for organisations with 5 to 150 extensions, making it one of the most scalable plug-and-play systems on the market.

The snom ONE plus will make its UK debut at stand 717 in the Microsoft Partner Village at UC Expo, being held from 8-9 March at Olympia London.

Built on standards-based SIP technology, the snom ONE plus provides VARs with a plug-and-play hardware appliance for business IP telephony that is pre-installed and configured with snom ONE IP PBX software for easy deployment with snom business IP desktop phones and endpoints, including the snom 3xx series, snom 8xx series, snom m9 DECT phones, and snom MeetingPoint conference phone. For small and medium size businesses (SMBs), the snom ONE plus offers all the advanced IP PBX functionality required for the information driven business of today and tomorrow, including centralised address book, auto attendants, hunt groups, hot desking, shared line emulation and CRM integration. snom’s advanced IP telephony also includes an array of advanced presence and monitoring features, such as remote extension monitoring, agent groups, remote worker support and cell phone twinning.
“The snom ONE plus offers scale and flexibility, ranging from 5 – 150 extensions and offering a wide variety of port and connectivity configurations, that is unheard of in the industry and ensures that growing businesses won’t have to replace their entire telephony system if they grow beyond a certain point or need to change connectivity platforms,” said Jonathan Greenwood, Managing Director at snom UK Ltd. and product manager for the snom ONE plus. “All that at a price point that makes full-feature IP telephony available to SMBs.”
The snom ONE plus comes in two versions: the snom ONE plus yellow, for up to 20 extensions, or the snom ONE plus blue, for up to 150 extensions. Both versions provide the same, full feature set of the snom ONE IP PBX. The snom ONE plus will be available in March of 2011 in the UK through snom’s distributors and value added resellers, and comes with a three-year hardware warranty. The snom ONE plus is priced competitively, and varies depending on final configuration, starting at £1465 (€1725), installed with the snom ONE yellow, to £2732 (€3217) for a snom ONE blue package with 34-port ISDN, 4 FXO and 1 FXS.

A reliable and entirely solid-state appliance, with no moving parts, the snom ONE plus also supports SIP trunk or multi-functional PSTN connectivity, allowing for multiple termination options, including analog, PRI, BRI, T1 and E1, expandable from 4 Port FXO to 16 Ports, from 2 Ports BRI to 6 BRI, or from ISDN to T1/E1.

“The snom One plus offers VARs a total solution for the easy and efficient deployment of IP communications at a pricepoint that provides value for their SMB customers,” said Mike Storella, COO for snom. “By offering a fully integrated system including hardware, full featured IP PBX software and a full suite of IP phones and endpoints, VARs can accelerate installation and focus on building their own businesses.”
