snom Receives Unified Communications® Magazine’s 2008 Product of the Year Award

North Andover, Mass. (April 21, 2009) — snom announced today that Technology Marketing Corporation’s (TMC®) Unified Communications magazine ( has named snom OCS Edition as a recipient of its 2008 Product of the Year Award.

The snom OCS Edition runs on every snom desktop phone and connects seamlessly with Microsoft® Office Communications Server R2 Microsoft® and a business’ SIP-based IP PBX or hosted VoIP solution.  This special firmware release enables snom SIP phone users to access the full range of advanced collaboration and real-time communication features in Microsoft® Office Communications Server 2007 R2 including presence, instant messaging, web conferencing and enhanced call management features. In addition, the phones encompass multi-service, multi-vendor functionality – the snom product line, while directly connected to OCS, can additionally connect to other VoIP services and IPPBXs.
