Phybridge and snom technology Align to Deliver End-to-End VoIP Capabilities

snom Technology AG, a leading developer and manufacturer of advanced voice over IP phones for enterprise and residential markets, announced today it has teamed with Phybridge, a leading provider of risk-free voice over IP (VoIP) phone deployment infrastructure.  This technology partnership gives businesses the ability to take advantage of the productivity enhancing features of IP telephony with minimal capital investment.

Together, the two companies have conducted rigorous testing and evaluation that demonstrates full interoperability between snom’s suite of IP business phones and the Phybridge UniPhyer, an IP PBX and IP end-point enabler. The plug-and-play nature of UniPhyer allows a business to deploy a state of the art VoIP system while still retaining their legacy analog phone infrastructure - driving down the cost and risk for businesses to migrate to an end-to-end IP-based solution.

“For far too long, legacy PBX systems have held businesses back from realizing the benefits of IP communication due to CAPEX concerns,” said Dr. Michael Knieling, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales for snom technology AG. “The seamless connectivity between snom SIP-based phones and Phybridge UniPhyer gives organizations a clear and cost effective path to VoIP migration.”

The Phybridge UniPhyer overcomes traditional barriers to IP phone migration. It leverages existing telephony cabling as a dedicated voice path, working in parallel with the existing LAN. There’s no network upgrade needed, resulting in lower costs and minimal business disruption. With fewer points of failure, the UniPhyer ensures quality of service.

“snom continually finds new ways to break through communication barriers,” said Oliver Emmanuel, President and Founder for Phybridge. “Whether they’re eradicating static from conference calls or making it easier to manage your contact lists, snom simplifies business communication. Our new partnership with snom gives our customers access to advanced business calling features in a sleek, intuitive package.”

Today, Phybridge customers can easily take advantage of snom’s commercial-grade SIP-based phone portfolio that features its 3XX series (snom 320, snom 360 and snom 370) and new 8XX series (snom 820 and snom 870 touch screen phone).  The snom product suite also includes the snom MeetingPoint conferencing phone and snom m3 IP DECT phone.  snom’s intelligent SIP endpoints can also support a wide variety of unified communications applications including  Microsoft® Office Communications Server 2007 R2 via its special firmware - snom OCS.

The joint solution featuring snom’s SIP phones and Phybridge UniPhyer is available through Novus LLC, a premier distributor of TDM and VOIP equipment.
