snom gets Deloitte Award for strong sales growth

For the second time snom Technology AG, developer and manufacturer of Voice-Over IP phones, is to receive the Deloitte Fast 50 Award as one of the companies with the strongest sales growth in the last five years. In the “Communications/Network Operations” category, snom's 404 percent sales growth rate gave it a place among the top 30 companies. In Düsseldorf yesterday Deloitte, the international auditors, announced its sixth annual awards for the fastest growing German companies in the technology, communications and life science sectors. The basis for the evaluation of the companies is the average sales growth rate in per cent for the last five years. At 404% snom is well above the average rate calculated by Deloitte. Dr. Michael Knieling, snom Board Director for Marketing and Sales, is delighted with the award: “To get this prize for the second time running is a great honour for us, and it is largely due to the excellent collaboration we enjoy with our technology and sales partners. It shows us that, in applying the public SIP standard and the high safety standards in the VoIP sector from the very beginning; we chose exactly the right technologies – the ones the market requires.”

The Fast 50 Award has been run in Germany since 2002. The fact that snom, as a medium-sized company in the still relatively young VoIP market, has now received the prize for a consecutive year running, in Dr. Knieling's view, the result of successful teamwork: “The award is recognition of years of hard work by snom’s highly motivated team of development, sales and marketing professionals.”

To qualify for the Fast 50 Award, companies have to meet the following criteria: sales revenue must be generated for the most part by self-developed technology; a substantial proportion of revenue must be invested in research and development; sales revenue must have been at least € 50,000 for 2003 and at least € 1 million for the 2007 fiscal year; the company must have existed and have had its registered office in Germany for at least five years. As a winner of the Fast 50 Award snom will now be put forward for the Fast 500 Program for the EMEA region.
