We consistently receive enquiries regarding the IP telephone elmeg IP290, which is manufactured and sold by Funkwerk Enterprise Communications GmbH. Although in December 2005 it still had the same configuration as the discontinued model snom 190, the term "structurally identical" now only applies to the casing and hardware and not to the functionalities.

The firmware of the elmeg IP290 is looked after directly by Funkwerk. Therefore, support and sales for the device rest exclusively with Funkwerk Enterprise Communications GmbH.

We would ask resellers, interested parties and users to take this into account when making enquiries regarding the elmeg IP290 and where necessary to also adapt the texts on the company websites accordingly.
