snom technology Named to 2005 Pulver 100

snom technology AG ( has been named to pulvermedia's Pulver 100 — the foremost listing of privately-held companies representing the future of IP communications. The list of 2005 Pulver 100 inductees was released globally by pulvermedia on September 7.

Produced since 2002, the four-year-old Pulver 100 listing documents VoIP's rapid evolution away from the vertically integrated telecom model of the last century, towards a networking-industry model espousing open interfaces, connectivity decoupled from services, and software decoupled from hardware.

"The pulver 100 has become an indicator of the leading edge in IP communications, and the companies named to this year's list represent the future of our industry," said Jeff Pulver, Founder and Chairman of pulvermedia, quoted in the September 7 release. "I'm proud to announce this year's winners, and I look forward to honoring them at Fall VON."

"We're thrilled to have been named to the 2005 Pulver 100," said Dr. Michael Knieling, snom's Sales and Marketing Director. "snom is committed to open standards-based VoIP. Our telephones are designed for full compatibility with the evolving family of SIP standards, and vendor-specific adaptations of same. They deliver real value to end users, integrators, service providers and other stakeholders, without the penalties of single-vendor lock-in."

snom will demonstrate its full line of SIP-standard business telephones at Fall 2005 VON (Boston Convention Center — September 19-22, Booth 351). All snom IP telephones are engineered and priced appropriately to serve small, medium and large enterprises in a broad range of business contexts — providing easy access to the rich feature-sets of SIP-based IP PBX, IP Centrex, hosted IP PBX, IP contact center and other premise-based and carrier VoIP solutions. Among other achievements, snom recently completed interoperability validation as a technology partner with BroadSoft, proving snom's compatibility with VoIP services from over 110 carriers, worldwide, hosted on BroadSoft's BroadWorks® VoIP application platform.

"We're looking forward to meeting with customers, VARs and potential partners at Fall 2005 VON in Boston," says Dr. Knieling, "and showing how our award-winning IP telephones meet the most demanding standards of the global marketplace." more
