snom Completes Interoperability Testing with BroadSoft

snom's SIP Telephones Plug and Play with IP Telephony Services Offered by More than 110 Carriers, Worldwide, on BroadSoft's Market-Leading BroadWorks® Hosted VoIP Platform

snom technology, AG, (www.snom.com) has successfully completed interoperability validation as a technology partner with BroadSoft (www.broadsoft.com), a premier provider of VoIP applications software. snom's SIP-based VoIP telephones are fully interoperable with IP telephony services from over 110 carriers, worldwide, provided on BroadSoft's BroadWorks® hosted VoIP platform.

snom's SIP-based family of IP telephones — from the entry-level snom 320 with its two-line display to the radically-extensible, large-display snom 360 — are engineered and priced appropriately to serve small, medium and large enterprises in a broad range of business contexts. All offer excellent audio quality, compelling design and ergonomics, and a host of essential telephony, productivity, management and security features, accessible via dedicated function keys, built-in and modular extensible programmable key banks, and through intuitive menu- and web-based user interfaces.

Easy to install and configure, snom IP phones provide one-touch and/or simplified access to the rich feature-sets of IP Centrex, hosted IP PBX, IP-to-Wireless, IP contact center and other carrier VoIP services hosted on versions of BroadSoft's fast-evolving BroadWorks® VoIP application platform. On the provider side, they deliver sophisticated, SIP-standard-based features for remote endpoint management, upgrade and customization, configurable security, firewall and NAT traversal required by hosted VoIP's diverse technology and business models.

"We are pleased to have achieved interoperability validation by BroadSoft with our IP telephones," said Dr. Christian Stredicke, snom's CEO. "snom's SIP-standard-based IP telephones are engineered to complement and facilitate use of BroadWorks®-based carrier VoIP services in all their diverse forms, from relatively simple hosted VoIP and IP Centrex to more sophisticated hosted enterprise IP PBX and hybrid VoIP/wireless services.

End-users who choose to match snom with BroadSoft will get full value from the services they pay for. Carriers who promote the match will enjoy reduced overhead, easier endpoint management and customer service, and will be able to deliver a more robust, feature-rich and practical end-user experience. Our partnership with BroadSoft is an important first step towards snom's goal of becoming a global vendor of IP telephones, compatible with all SIP-based VoIP systems."

snom will demonstrate its award-winning IP telephones and ancillary VoIP infrastructure at upcoming global trade events, including Berlin's Voice-over-IP Forum (September 7-8) and Fall VON (Boston, September 19-22).
