Large demand for snom's new VoIP Box for SME
The rush to get hold of the 9x8x4 cm SIP-based snom VoIP Box for companies of up to 50 users, which was shown for the first time at this year's CeBIT and VON Spring (USA), has been substantially greater than expected. "With enquiries of up to 500 a month, delivery times in the current beginning stages are up to 12 weeks", announces Sales and Marketing Director Dr. Michael Knieling.
Easy to integrate with any LAN, engineered to partner with low-cost VoIP services, the 9x8x4 snom VoIP Box is a complete, stand-alone, 50-user IP business phone system with conferencing, enhanced voice messaging and other advanced productivity features.
Most present-day enterprise IP telephony solutions comprise one or more servers (running software for call management and media processing), plus hardware gateways for connection to the ISDN or analog fixed-line network. Lots of equipment - all with moving parts - means expense, integration hassles, reliability problems.
By contrast, the snom VoIP Box, paired with standard VoIP accounts from a VoIP service provider, offers everything you need for enterprise-class IP telephony in one tiny enclosure. Small, silent-running, easy to configure, affordable, robust ... the snom VoIP Box is nevertheless replete with state-of-the-art features, and highly compliant with emerging VoIP standards.
The VoIP Box contains a compact integrated hardware platform running snom's industry-leading 4S software with proxy and media server, making installation and management simple!
"With the VoIP Box, we are taking IP telephony an important step towards plug-and-play and user-friendliness," says Knieling. "Just a few minutes to configure, and the telephone system is online and taking calls. And the users are enjoying all the performance features of an enterprise-class iPBX, managing them via user-friendly, feature-rich IP telephones, highly-mobile softphones, and powerful web interfaces."
A Setup Wizard on the snom Website www.snom.com lets end-users configure the VoIP Box without assistance; alternatively, the snom support team and worldwide partner network stands ready to provide installation and technical support.
