snom technology AG on the lookout for partners worldwide

The developer and manufacturer of VoIP telephones and software is preparing itself internationally for the expected Voice-over-IP boom of the next few years and is expanding its worldwide sales network at full throttle.

The Berlin company sells the lion’s share of its products through distributors, whose interest in snom equipment and components has increased enormously since VoIP technology, in addition to its use in business, has also become ready for the mass market.

“In the last six months we have been able to double our number of resellers, and in Europe we are represented in practically every country”, says CEO and snom founder Dr. Christian Stredicke. In addition to the German companies Komsa and Allnet, international companies such as Weblink Telecom (Ireland), ABP and Netxusa (USA) and Vegasari (Malaysia) also count among the sales partners.

Since this year the sale of snom products has also been operating in Dubai: “The demand for VoIP applications here in the Middle East is very great and a market niche has emerged for products that supplement the Cisco spectrum. We are reckoning on a market share of up to 15% for snom” says Denis Pechnov of Olivercom in Dubai.

In South Africa the deregulation of the telecom market is currently underway, reason enough for omnilyne to start a marketing campaign for snom equipment. “We are looking at selling several thousand apparatuses in 2005” forecasts CEO Greg Daus, “and with the high product quality and the excellent partner support this is a perfectly realistic prediction”.

snom now has its sights set above all on potential resellers in Canada, Taiwan and China as well as in Russia and the Baltic States. In order to further extend the distributor network, in 2005, in addition to numerous other international events, snom will again be using the CeBIT as a contact forum.
