snom 360 4.0 license configuration

Please make sure that your phone is NOT licensed already!

If your new snom 360 came with the firmware version 4.0 or higher, the license key is pre-installed; you do not have to generate another license. 

FIRST UPDATE TO VERSION 4.0 OR HIGHER: If your snom came with a firmware version up to 3.99, a few simple steps are required to update your snom 360 to firmware version 4.0 or higher for the first time. After this first update, you do not need to generate further keys for any future updates.

• Press "?" on your snom 360. 
• Note the MAC address 00041323xxxx (where xxxx represents the last four alpha-numerics). 
• Send an e-mail with your MAC address to phonelicense@snom.com and ask for another license. 
• Extract the license key from the file to your local hard disk. 
• Go to "Software Update" via the telephone web interface. 
• Download the latest Firmware.

Upon successful update: 

• Go to "Software Update" via the telephone web interface. 

You should now see 12 lines as in the image below, including the upload field for the license key "Manual License Upload".

• Select the locally saved license key file and press "load"

After "load", the license key field will no longer be visible. Your telephone is now equipped with the license-protected 4.x Firmware!

Please note: this license has to be used only once for all future firmwares.
