The snom-telephones are compatible with all leading SIP based IP-PBX CPE-systems and network infrastructures (e.g. Avaya, Nortel, Microsoft, CISCO, Siemens, etc.) as well as with less known IP-switch-makers and even providing multiple identities and cascading-failover when required via one terminal. snom telephones enable users the option of a “telephone failover“ to Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2-certified gateway thus giving users valuable extra security. This can be an indispensable service for businesses with distributed branches in case of WAN-connection disruptions or in the event of corporate-wide failures in the OCS-infrastructure (MS KB974571).
Additionally, snom telephones empower users with a smooth platform migration, ensuring that telephones currently connected to a VoIP-PBX can in future be used on an OCS-system. Here too, a failover-identity to an IP-PBX can be used. The phones also allow you to integrate Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2/Lync 2010 features into your existing IP telephony infrastructure. For example, you can use the server-side address book search with your existing SIP-PBX.
