snom 360 4.0 license configuration

Please make sure that your phone is NOT licensed already!

If your new snom 360 came with the firmware version 4.0 or higher,  the license key is pre-installed; you do not have to generate another license.

IF YOU NEED MORE THAN 10 licenses please send your list of MAC adresses (preferably .csv) to phonelicense@snom.com

FIRST UPDATE TO VERSION 4.0 OR HIGHER:  If your snom came with a firmware version up to 3.99, a few simple steps are required to update your snom 360 to firmware version 4.0 or higher for the first time.  After this first update, you do not need to generate further keys for any future updates.

  • Press “?” on your snom 360.
  • Note the MAC address 00041323xxxx (where xxxx represents the last four alpha-numerics).
  • Go to the license generator and generate your license key.
  • You will receive an email with the license key attached.  If you receive an email with an error message instead, forward it to phonelicense@snom.com with your MAC address and ask for another license.
  • Extract the license key from the file to your local hard disk.
  • Go to “Software Update” via the telephone web interface.
  • At FW, enter http://www.snom.com/download/share/snom360-4.0-SIP-j.bin and press “load”.

Upon successful update:

  • Go to “Software Update” via the telephone web interface.

You should now see 12 lines as in the image below, including the upload field for the license key “Manual License Upload”.
 

 

  • Select the locally saved license key file and press “load”

After “load”, the license key field will no longer be visible.  Your telephone is now equipped with the license-protected 4.x Firmware!  Please note: this license has to be used only once for all future 4.x firmwares.
