snom Names Ray Rodriguez Regional Channel Manager

snom Inc. today announced that it has appointed seasoned telecom sales executive Ray Rodriguez, Regional Channel Manager as the company continues its aggressive market expansion in the Americas. Rodriguez is tasked growing snom’s network of telecom resellers and distributor partners in the regions of South America, Central America, and Latin America.

“Ray has a proven track record in building sales teams and sales strategies for the technology reseller and distributor channels,” said Mike Storella, Director of Business Development snom Inc. “He brings the expertise needed to drive our sales and partner expansion in these key regions and a keen understanding of the service provider, enterprise, and SMB telecom markets.”

Rodriguez has more than 20 years of sales experience in the U.S. and Latin America for leading telecommunications companies such as Nortel Networks, Net2Phone and Quintum Technologies. He previously served as Regional Sales Channel Manager in Latin America for Quintum Technologies where he was responsible for Quintum’s line of intelligent Tenor VoIP access switching and gateway solutions for enterprise and service providers in the Caribbean and Latin America, one of the fastest growing VoIP markets. At Quintum he provided VoIP MultiPath analog and digital interfaces for the service provider, Cable Operator and enterprise customer IP Hosting, Call Centers, PBX and IP PBX environments.

Rodriguez held senior sales management positions at Net2Phone, Acterna Corp and TTC, where he was responsible for establishing and growing the companies’ channel sales programs for the enterprise, SMB and service provider markets in Central America and Latin America (CALA).

Rodriquez held several sales positions at Nortel Networks including Senior Sales Director, Enterprise Voice & Data Network Channels, Country Manager, Argentina, Chile & Uruguay, and Senior Sales Manager Private Network Channels. At Nortel, Rodriquez restructured existing distribution channels to develop the company from “box sellers” to “full integrators” and identified new data channel partners. He managed, supported and directed a million sales effort for all Meridian, Passport and Bay Networks data product lines to distributors, VAR’s, operators and enterprise customers.
